February – Dental Health

Bad breath and yellow teeth are just some of the outward signs of what could be a bigger problem. Yes, February is pet dental health month! But dental health is often a sign of other health issues. It can affect their kidneys, liver or heart!  American Veterinary Dental Society states that 80% of dogs and 70% of cats are diagnosed with some form of oral disease by the age 3.  Listen to this podcast that where Dr. Jan Bellows, president of the American Veterinary Dental College and owner of All Pets Dental in Weston, Fla., discussed the importance of dental health for our pets in an interview for American Veterinary Medical Association’s Animal Tracks podcast series.

So sniff your pets breath and if something smells a little off, make an appointment between now and the end of March 2015 and get 10% off a dental procedure for your pet where the work is completed by March 31, 2015. Tell us you saw the offer on the blog!!  Don’t put this off, call us today!!
